Dr. A. Catherine Lunde, EdD, LPC, CSC, Certified Mediator
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Texas Certified School Counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Before starting Evergreen Counseling & Mediation, I worked in a variety of settings—including ExxonMobil, Harvard University, and The Woodlands High School—where I served as a Biology teacher and Response to Intervention (RtI) specialist. These experiences shaped the way I understand people, systems, and the many pressures families face.
I specialize in ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, parenting support, anxiety, depression, infertility, grief, and stress management. I also enjoy helping parents learn how to collaborate effectively with schools when seeking special education or 504 services for their children. As a mom of two young adult sons with special needs and over 25 years of marriage, I bring both professional training and lived experience to the work I do with families.
In counseling, I focus on helping you set realistic expectations and develop specific, practical strategies to reach your personal goals. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, always centered on your strengths. Together, we work to create both immediate relief and long-term coping skills so you can face future challenges with more confidence, experience personal growth, and build healthier relationships.
As a mediator, I draw on my background in conflict resolution and my deep understanding of family dynamics to help people communicate more clearly and move toward workable, respectful solutions. Whether I’m serving as your counselor or your mediator, my goal is to offer a calm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
